Taman Sari Water Castle

Located approximately 400 meters from the sultan's palace complex or about 10 minutes walk to the market burubg from page Mangangan.

In this complex terdapt place that is still considered sacred in the Castle, the Park Ledoksari which place in a private place where the clash and the Sultan.

Among the interesting building is the Wells Gemuling the form of two-storey building with a floor underneath lies underground. In the past, this building is a sort of mosque where the Sultan perform ritual prayers. This section can be achieved through the underground passageway. In other parts there are many other underground tunnel, which is a secret way, and prepared as a street savior when at times this complex had an attack of the enemy.

In North Castle complex situated Ngasem market (often called the Bird Market), where the buying and selling of poultry animal (a beautiful bird, songbird, pigeons, bekisar etc.).

Castle Complex is also the settlement of young artists, especially yag engaged in batik painting. His works are quite good quality affordable pockets of tourists.

Castle is a beautiful park, where the past is a place of recreation for the Sultan of Yogyakarta and its courtiers. Today, the Castle can be visited by the public. Starting from 08.00 until until 16:00.
